Richard Mallender, 49, lives in Lady Bay in West Bridgford where he is the local borough councillor. He works as a Transport Planner for Nottingham City Council.
Richard says, "People across Rushcliffe are concerned about the government's reckless approach to Brexit, unending cuts to our public services and failure to deliver on housing and healthcare.
"People want to keep our NHS as a free public service, have the best care for the elderly, and need homes and jobs to keep our communities alive.
"The Green Party offers a real alternative: committed to preserving and protecting the environment on which we all depend.
"We call for an end to fracking and to privatising the NHS. We believe in a society where all jobs pay at least a Real Living Wage, where young people have the best education regardless of where they live and attend university without being forced into debt."
On Brexit, the Green Party is calling for people to have a vote on the final Brexit deal in a ratification referendum – with the option to remain in the EU if they so choose.
At the last election Greens in Rushcliffe held their deposit with 6.5% of the vote.
