Rebecca Connick is 46, was born in Yorkshire and for the last 10 years has lived with her husband and two children in Nottingham. She works as a teacher at a local school in Nottingham.

As a full time working mum with many interests, Rebecca has a wide range of experiences to offer people in Gedling.

Rebecca would like to focus on making sure that our local schools have adequate funding in place, scrapping university tuition fees, and promoting a comprehensive system of local schools.

She would fight against policies that increase air pollution and contribute to climate change, and promote investment in renewable energy. Affordable housing for all would also be on her agenda.

Rebecca says, "I am delighted to be putting myself forward to serve those who live in Gedling.

"My work brings me into contact with people from all over Nottingham. I have spent the last 18 years of my life teaching children about ecology and human impact on the environment.

"I would like to focus on making sure that our local schools have adequate funding in place, that the effect on the environment is considered when decisions are made and also maintaining our local NHS as a public service."

The Green Party in Nottingham is growing, be part of it.
