Kirsty Jones, Green Party candidate for Nottingham North

Kirsty Jones, Green Party candidate for Nottingham NorthKirsty Jones is 27 and moved to Nottingham in 2010 when she started her nurse training. She works as a Children’s Nurse on the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham.

She is the Chair of Nottingham Green Party. She is well-organised, can manage high workloads and is able to put people first in all that she does.

Kirsty says, "I am really pleased to be putting myself forward to serve the people of Nottingham North. I have lived in Nottingham for many years and working at the QMC puts me in contact with people from all areas of Nottingham. I really want to focus on providing decent housing, maintaining our NHS and ensuring the availability of excellent local job opportunities."

Kirsty knows what the NHS needs. She will reverse the decline in funding for the NHS, make sure that NHS is only funded by public money and that all services are delivered publicly, not by private companies.

As the renter of a flat herself, she understands the difficulties involved in renting. She will introduce rent controls, build 500,000 socially rented homes and introduce a Landlord Licensing Scheme to ensure minimum standards.

The Green Party is growing in Nottingham. Add one more voice.
